Bathtub Refinishing Color Options
Choose from classic white, warm off-whites like almond and biscuit, or custom color matching. Find the perfect shade for your bathroom renovation.
Choosing the Right Color
One of the biggest advantages of bathtub refinishing over replacement is the ability to change your tub's color. Whether you want to update a dated almond tub to bright white or match existing fixtures, professional refinishing gives you options.
Our industrial coatings come in a wide range of colors, and we can custom-match virtually any shade. The color is built into the coating itself - it won't fade, chip differently, or wear unevenly over time.
Good news: Standard colors (white, off-white, almond, biscuit) are included in our base pricing. Custom color matching is available at no additional charge.
Available Color Options
Bright White
Most PopularThe classic choice - over 80% of our customers choose bright white. It's timeless, makes bathrooms feel larger and brighter, and matches any decor style. White never goes out of fashion and maximizes resale appeal.
Off-White / Bone
A softer alternative to bright white with subtle warm undertones. Off-white works well in bathrooms with cream-colored tiles or warmer color palettes. It's less stark than pure white while still feeling clean and fresh.
Almond
A warm, light tan color that was extremely popular in homes built during the 1980s and 1990s. If your toilet and sink are almond-colored and you want your tub to match, we can refinish to this exact shade.
Biscuit / Linen
Similar to almond but with slightly more yellow/cream undertones. Biscuit was another popular fixture color in the 1990s-2000s. We can match the specific shade used by major manufacturers like Kohler, American Standard, and Toto.
Custom Color Matching
Need to match a specific color? Bring us a sample chip, provide a manufacturer color code, or show us the fixture you want to match. We can create custom blends for grays, blues, greens, or any other color at no additional charge.
Color Matching Tips
Matching Existing Fixtures
If you want your refinished tub to match your toilet and sink, check the manufacturer stamp (usually under the tank lid or inside the sink bowl). This tells us the brand and often the color code. Kohler "Biscuit" is different from American Standard "Linen" - getting the exact code ensures a perfect match.
Updating to White
Converting a colored tub (almond, pink, avocado green) to white is our most common color change request. This modernizes the bathroom instantly. Keep in mind that if your toilet and sink remain the original color, there will be a mismatch - but many homeowners prefer a white tub regardless.
Considering Resale Value
If you're renovating to sell, white is the safest choice. It appeals to the widest range of buyers and photographs well in listings. Bold colors or dated tones (like pink or avocado) can turn off potential buyers.
Lighting Matters
Colors look different under various lighting conditions. The same off-white can appear yellow under warm incandescent bulbs or cool under LED daylight bulbs. Consider your bathroom's lighting when choosing between shades of white or neutral tones.
